About Sacred Earth Minerals & Fossils
Sacred Earth was founded from a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and geological wonders of our planet. What began as a passion for collecting unique mineral specimens has grown into a trusted source for high-quality minerals, crystals, fossils, and stone art. Every piece we offer is carefully selected for its natural character, scientific interest, and visual appeal.
We’re dedicated to sharing the incredible diversity of Earth’s treasures—from brilliant crystal formations and polished gemstones to ancient fossils that tell the story of life long before us. Whether you’re a seasoned collector, a student of geology, or simply someone drawn to nature’s artistry, you’ll find something inspiring among our ever-changing inventory.
Our Founder’s Story
Sacred Earth Minerals began with a childhood sense of wonder and a lifelong connection to the natural world.
My name is Arthur Finn, and my fascination with nature started as early as I can remember. When I was just four years old, I began collecting minerals on the beaches of Lithuania, where I would dig through the sand in search of Baltic amber and other goodies. Those early discoveries—small, ancient pieces of the Earth shaped by time—sparked a curiosity that never faded.
What began as a child’s excitement grew into a deep, lifelong passion for minerals, fossils, and the stories they carry. Over the years, that curiosity led me from books and collections into the field itself—exploring quarries, creeks, and dig sites, learning directly from the Earth and from others who share this passion.
Today, I am an active member of numerous mineral and fossil clubs along the East Coast and a regular participant in the broader mineral and fossil community. I make it a priority to spend time outdoors every week, collecting crystals and fossils firsthand whenever possible. Field collecting isn’t just a hobby—it’s how I stay connected to the materials, the science, and the history behind every specimen.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey is taking others into the field—introducing new collectors to hands-on mineral and fossil digging, sharing techniques, and helping people experience that moment of discovery for themselves. Whether it’s someone on their first outing or a seasoned collector exploring a new site, I believe learning directly from the Earth creates a deeper appreciation that no display case alone can provide.
Sacred Earth Minerals was created to share that connection with others. Every mineral and fossil we offer is chosen with care, knowledge, and respect for its natural origin. Whether a specimen comes from a long-known locality or a recent find, it represents millions of years of geological history—and a moment of discovery that still feels just as exciting as it did when I was four years old.
Above all, this is about community. I love connecting with collectors, educators, and fellow enthusiasts—whether you’re just beginning your journey or have spent decades in the field. Sacred Earth Minerals exists to celebrate curiosity, authenticity, and the timeless beauty of the Earth itself.
Community & Discovery
Beyond selling specimens, Sacred Earth is also about community and discovery. We travel to mineral shows, fossil sites, and quarries across the country, working with clubs, mines, and other enthusiasts to explore, learn, and unearth new finds. Many of these adventures are shared through Sacred Earth Adventures, where we guide others in hands-on digging experiences for minerals and fossils.
At Sacred Earth, our goal is to make the wonder of geology accessible to everyone—celebrating the beauty, history, and science found beneath our feet.
Working with Mineral Clubs Across the East Coast
Community and education are at the heart of everything we do. Sacred Earth works closely with many mineral clubs throughout the East Coast, collaborating with passionate collectors, educators, and lifelong rockhounds who share our commitment to learning and discovery. These partnerships allow us to stay connected to the field, exchange knowledge, and support the next generation of mineral and fossil enthusiasts.
We are especially proud to be involved with organizations such as the North Jersey Mineralogical Society and the East Coast Gem & Mineral Society, both of which play an important role in promoting geological education, ethical collecting, and hands-on learning through meetings, field trips, and public events. Joining a local mineral club is one of the best ways to deepen your understanding of minerals and fossils, gain access to collecting opportunities, and connect with a welcoming community of experts and hobbyists alike.
